2. An exceedingly dark, claustrophobic recording, Death Church is the debut long-player from Rudimentary Peni, a group plagued by all manner of misfortune, illness, and bad luck. Lead by a gargantuan guitar steamroller that still manages to maintain a supple sense of movement, Rudimentary Peni add a competent rhythm section and the talents of the estimable Nick Blinko 5/5(27).

I picked it up at a local record store yesterday and was kind of disappointed to find out that it's an unofficial pressing when I got home, but then I threw it on the table and was pleasantly surprised/5().

5. Death Church bypasses their previous work which is no small feat, they really are that good. I've got this on vinyl and had been trying for years to get the CD version, it was very hard to find (at a reasonable price anyway) but was well worth the hunt. Don't pay silly money but when you get the chance make it a worthy addition to your collection.5/5(27).
